I am soooo proud of my baby God-sister, Tracey Hall Cooper!  She is so inspirational!                                                                                                               Tracey Hall Cooper 270X250

Life has never been easy for this young lady but Tracey has always been caring, disciplined, smart, and determined.  Most of the nation knows that growing up in Camden, NJ is no easy assignment.  Despite the lore of the streets, Tracey stayed focused.

She joined the Camden Police Department and served for 20 years.  During her service she raised her two daughters and Amadeus, her nephew, as a single mom.

She was so proud of all of her children.   Amadeus, “Dae-Dae” Hall, who received a full ride to Delaware Valley College, was a force to be reckoned with on the field.  He was actively scouted for his defensive skills.  Off the field he was involved in the community and encouraged young men to develop positive social skills and get an education.

In June of 2012 right before his senior year, Amadeus took his life.

Auntie-Mom, Tracey, has since retired from the police force.  She is now busy with a new passion.  Tracey is the founder and CEO of the DAELIGHT FOUNDATION.  Its mission is to help the inner city community raise awareness on suicide / prevention.  The foundation offers educational programs, is an advocate for public policy, and supports those affected by suicide.

Monday, September 7th – Sunday, September 13th is National Suicide Prevention Week.   September 10th represents National Suicide Prevention Day.

To learn more, visit the DAELIGHT Foundation website at www.daelf.com.  You can also join the national conversation on suicide prevention by following the DAELIGHT FOUNDATION on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Tracey now speaks regularly to various groups both as a retired Police Officer and most recently on behalf of the DAELIGHT FOUNDATION.  Tracey just recently married the love of her life.  She has two daughters and one grand-daughter.  The tremendous service Tracey continues to provide does not surprise me one bit!
