Child Pose (Balasana) is a calming pose that can relax and restore the mind. It is also a deep stretch for your quadriceps, and top of the feet and ankles, and can stretch the back. There are many variations to the pose. Find the one that works for you. Use as many props like pillows and blankets as necessary for your comfort. You can place pillows, bolsters, or blankets under your knees, in the back of the legs, under your glutes, your chest, your head, or any combination of these. Remember not to be forceful with any poses. The pose should never hurt. This pose, in particular, is meant to bring peace and restore balance.
