Protein shakes are my go-to breakfast of choice. I use Orgain and since I use it so often, I get it from Costco. Since I am plant-based, it is a little more challenging to get large amounts of protein in a meal. Orgain has 21 grams of protein per serving (two scoops). I use 1-1/2 serving for 30 grams. It is versatile and can be made with lots of different ingredients, including fruits, and flax seed or chia seed.
While this protein shake is a powerful start to the morning, it’s a quick and easy part of my morning routine! You’re just minutes away from a delicious meal and plenty of energy that will last throughout the day with this shake!
Plant-Based Protein Shake Recipe
- 2 cups of water (always add water first)
- 3 scoops of Orgain
- 1 cup of frozen fruit
- 1/2 large banana
- 1 Tbs flax seed
