Sometimes circumstances can look so daunting. This summer it was me breaking my ankle. I mean it was already more than enough going on!
But when I thought about it, I knew there were so many people dealing with a lot worse. Heck, I have been through worse!
I spent the good part of a day feeling sorry for myself then hobbled away from my pajama pity party. Spending time there was not going to accomplish a thing.
So I figured out what I had to do to heal. I doubled down on guarding my mind and stayed connected with positive, supportive people, even if it was via ZOOM
. I found alternative ways to get done what needed to get done.
I graciously relied on my family for help and kept my opinions on how they were doing things differently from how I do them to myself.
No, I am not where I want to be, but thank God I am where I was. I am much, much better than I was just a few months ago!
EVERYONE is dealing with something that is broken; a promise or relationship, heart, maybe finances, health, a job, or a car, a laptop – something! I bet ninety-nine percent of the broken situations could be a whole lot worse.
That doesn’t mean it’s easy to deal with. And if you are dealing with a worse situation, I am so, sorry for your pain. I am sending love and prayers your way.
Everyone handles situations differently. Take time to go through your process. And please fight for your peace and proactively seek a circle of support to avoid isolation. Isolation and depression make a dangerous cocktail.
Remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that you are loved! You have greatness inside of you and I believe in you!
