AKA Tricep Push-up Pose

The hover pose goes by several names (see above), but don’t let the various names fool you! This eight-step flow is simple, yet effective at training your core, as well as working to improve upper body strength!

1. Engage core throughout the pose
2. Keep knees straight and leg muscles tight
3. Keep the entire body in alignment from head to shoulders, hip to ankles
4. Keep elbows close to your body
5. Avoid hyperextending in your low back (avoid over aching)
6. Keep shoulder blades neutral. Avoid rounding or dipping between shoulder blades.
7. Keep chin toward ground to ensure neck stays neutral. Avoid creases in the back of the neck
8. Use pads of fingers and thumbs to assist the wrist. Avoid putting all of your weight into wrist alone.
