(The Rampage posts are a number of gratitude posts I have intentionally tracked and posted on Facebook over the years.)
I am grateful for having regulated blood pressure!!
I NEVER had trouble with my blood pressure until I did.
Despite being active and at a healthy weight, I was diagnosed with hypertension and autoimmune disease in 2018.
The doctors were convinced that my genetics, age, and the luck of the draw, left me no other options, so I was put on medication.
I reluctantly took it, but I did because I know the impact of hypertension. It can destroy your kidneys and is a gateway to many other complications.
I also know the side effects of medication and that when we can do something to avoid medication or reduce medications, we should pursue it.
After a couple of years, the doses needed to be increased and there was talk of trying other meds because the low doses I was on no longer worked.
I decided to responsibly try some other alternatives.
I am no longer on any medications and have not been since Dec 2021!!!
Hallelujah!!
What did I do?
️Continued to believe God has the final say
️Converted to a vegan diet
️Changed my supplement regimen
️ Upped my daily meditation practice
️ Continued yoga and cardio
️Check and record my blood pressure regularly
To be honest, I’m still amazed every day when I take my blood pressure. I am especially relieved when I go to the doctor and it is a normal range. I just thank God for his grace. I thank Him for giving me the discipline, the knowledge, the tools, and the desire to pursue Him and not give up.
